You can forget about the official Emmy afterparties. While the rest of the world was tuned into the red carpet, Hollywood’s most beloved stars were busy celebrating for a cause at the MPTF’s 19th annual “Evening Before” benefit in Century City. This wasn't just a party; it was a powerful show of support for the industry’s unsung heroes, and the sheer amount of talent gathered in one place was, quite frankly, Crazy.

Co-chaired by a powerhouse group including Uzo Aduba, Colin Farrell, Kathryn Hahn & Ethan Sandler, and Adam & Naomi Scott, the night was a testament to the community that holds television and film together. The event raised over $2 million, a vital lifeline for an organization that provides financial assistance and social services to entertainment industry workers—from the biggest stars to the most essential crew members.

“MPTF has been there for our community for over 100 years,” noted Kathryn Hahn, perfectly capturing the spirit of the evening. The sentiment was echoed by Colin Farrell, who called the event a chance to celebrate, but more importantly, a way to support the “extraordinary work” that MPTF does every single day.

And the stars showed up in droves. Beyond the co-chairs, the host committee and guest list read like an Emmy ballot's dream: Meghann Fahy, Rashida Jones, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Seth Rogen, Ben Stiller, and Bowen Yang were just a few of the attendees. The room was a whirlwind of A-listers, from Quinta Brunson and Colman Domingo to J.Lo and Lalisa Manoban, all mingling with a shared purpose.

This “Evening Before” felt different. It was an exclusive gathering of people who came together not just to see and be seen, but to genuinely give back. The relaxed, town-square atmosphere designed by Studio Komorebi allowed for real conversation and connection, proving that when the industry comes together for a cause it believes in, the real magic happens away from the main stage. It was a beautiful reminder that amidst all the glitz, this industry is, at its heart, about taking care of its own.
