Wednesday Addams may have a deadpan stare, but Lady Gaga just gave the franchise a brand-new heartbeat.
On Wednesday night in New York City, Netflix and Spotify closed out The Doom Tour with the kind of spectacle only Gaga could pull off: a full-on Graveyard Gala at Guastavino’s. Three hundred lucky fans, influencers, and members of the press (including top Gaga and Wednesday listeners on Spotify) got the invite — and the surprise of the night was Gaga herself.
The pop icon appeared alongside Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, and Joy Sunday to announce her brand-new single, “The Dead Dance,” which will debut in Wednesday Season 2 Part 2. And because this is Gaga, the reveal wasn’t a casual “press play.” Guests were invited to climb inside bespoke coffins for an exclusive first listen to the track — a perfectly macabre touch for the queen of reinvention.
“I’m thrilled to release this song alongside Wednesday,” Gaga told Tudum.com. “I’m a huge fan of the show and had so much fun appearing in it to support ‘The Dead Dance.’”
The track marks Gaga’s latest addition to her long list of cultural crossovers — and it feels especially full-circle. Her 2011 hit Bloody Mary became the unofficial anthem of the viral Wednesday dance on TikTok in 2022, sparking a surge in streams and cementing her unexpected place in the Addams Family universe. Now, she’s not just the soundtrack — she’s part of the show.

Wednesday Season 2 kicked off on August 6, 2025, with the premiere of Part 1. Jenna Ortega returned to prowl the gothic halls of Nevermore Academy with her razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm intact, facing new foes, old adversaries, and plenty of family drama along the way. Part 2 arrives on September 3, with the mystery deepening and the stakes getting higher — and Gaga herself joining the cast.
Since premiering in 2022, Wednesday has become a global phenomenon: smashing Netflix records, winning Emmys and Golden Globes, sparking a gothic fashion revival, and sending The Cramps’ Goo Goo Muck back into the charts four decades later. And with Gaga now literally dancing with the dead, the fandom’s next obsession has officially arrived.
Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 premieres September 3, 2025, only on Netflix.
