The fashion crowd descended upon New York Fashion Week with the usual flurry of shows, but the one event that had everyone talking, and lining up down the block, was Renell Medrano's launch for Ice Magazine Vol. 2. A vibrant celebration of unapologetic femininity, the party, in partnership with Hennessy, was the kind of gathering that feels less like a press event and more like a high-fashion family reunion.

Held at the creative hub WSA, the room was buzzing with a Crazy amount of star power. From models like Kendall Jenner and Paloma Elsesser to music heavyweights JT and A$AP Ferg, everyone who is anyone showed up to support Medrano's vision.

And can we talk about Kendall Jenner’s look? She arrived in a chic "office siren" look, pairing a form-fitting gray dress with black-rimmed glasses, proving that even an artful celebration can inspire a major street style moment.

The true star, however, was Medrano herself and the magazine's mission. The Bronx-born photographer is devoted to celebrating the "around-the-way girl", magnetic and entirely her own. This volume, a beautiful 128-page book published by IDEA Books, is a love letter to the hustle and flow of Atlanta, a fresh departure from the magazine’s first volume, which celebrated NYC. Medrano’s ability to find vulnerability in her subjects, a talent she has honed while shooting everyone from Kendrick Lamar to Tiffany & Co. campaigns, is what makes Ice so authentic.

Hennessy seamlessly integrated into the evening's aesthetic, serving bespoke cocktails like the Henny-rita and the X.pressO Martini that kept the lively conversation going. It was a flawless partnership, elevating the night without overshadowing its core purpose: to empower and celebrate a new kind of creative narrative.

The energy was palpable, a testament to the community Medrano has built. This isn't just another fashion magazine; it's a movement. It re-imagines the spirit of 1970s publications from a female-centric perspective and offers a platform where women can feel seen, sexy, and confident on their own terms. Ice Magazine Vol. 2 isn't just a book you buy; it's an ethos you live. And if the line down the block is any indication, Medrano is just getting started.
